DESCRIPTION: ...The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Ohio... Maumee River at Napoleon affecting Henry County. ...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Ohio... Auglaize River near Fort Jennings affecting Allen OH, Paulding and Putnam Counties. For the Auglaize River...including Fort Jennings, Defiance... Moderate flooding is forecast. For the Maumee River...including Fort Wayne, Defiance, Napoleon... Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Auglaize River near Fort Jennings. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon to late Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins along the Auglaize River with secondary roads and agricultural lands as well as homes nearest the river being affected by flood waters. Some evacuations of people and property may be necessary. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:15 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 10.8 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall to 10.7 feet tomorrow evening. It will rise above flood stage Saturday afternoon to 17.7 feet early Sunday afternoon. Hail is a form of precipitation which is recognized by large solid balls or
clumps of ice. Hail is created by thunderstorm clouds with strong updrafts of wind.
As the hailstones remain in the updraft, ice is deposited onto them until their
weight becomes heavy enough for them to fall to the earth's surface.
Hail storms can cause significant damage to crops, aircrafts, and man-made structures,
despite the fact that the duration is usually less than ten minutes.

A mammatus cloud is a cloud with a unique feature which resembles
a web of pouches hanging along the base of the cloud.
In the United States, mammatus clouds tend to form in the warmer months, commonly
in the Midwest and eastern regions.
While they usually form at the bottom of a cumulonimbis cloud, they can also form
under altostratus, altocumulus, stratocumulus, and cirrus clouds. Mammatus clouds
warn that severe weather is close.
